Now that summer is right around the corner. I want to introduce you to a
great product called Thompson WaterSeal Sport Seal perfect for many fabrics including nylons, canvas, polyester, leather and many other fabrics.
Thompson's® WaterSeal® Sport Seal® Protectant provides long-lasting, maximum strength waterproofing protection for outdoor sporting, camping, hunting, and boating surfaces such as outerwear, footwear, tents and much more. It penetrates below the surface and forms a barrier that protects against moisture damage without leaving surfaces discolored, stiff or sticky.
Key Features
- Maximum Strength Waterproofing
- Long-Lasting Protection
- Allows Fabric to Breathe
- Repels Spills & Stains
- Use on: outerwear, footwear, backpacks, tents & sleeping bags. Sports, camping, boating and hunting gear.
- Do not use on suede, delicate leathers, carpeting or surfaces subject to foot traffic.
My thoughts:
I have used other waterproofing products on many items and found that they did not work as the company claimed. Some were very sticky and took a long time to dry and did not repel the water very well. The Thompson's was different. I used it on my daughters nylon sneakers and it worked very well. It sprayed on evenly, the nozzle did not clog and the odor was not overwhelming. You can see below that it worked well repelling the water and it is still protecting the sneakers after a month.

ReplyDeleteI love all of their products. I have yet to find one that doesn't do what it is supposed to.
ReplyDeleteThis would be great on our outdoor cushions, but I am curious as to how it would work on a pair of old jeans so they would be great for wearing out in the rain when I have to walk the dog!
