My Thoughts:
The book was very cleaver, funny, and perfect for a kid (or a kid at heart). Derek the Ghost AKA Derek Taylor Kent has written a fantastic book that includes a cast of characters that bring out the kid in everyone. I particularly liked Peter the Wolf and Penny Possum but everyone of the characters was unique and entertaining. Throughout the book, there were lessons being taught about friendships and life in general. I have always enjoyed books about vampires, monsters and other supernatural beings but I have never read a book like Scary School. Even the website is interesting and if you pass a quiz written by Mrs. fang you can unlock a secret chapter of the book. The illustrations included in the book were great and complemented the storyline. I wonder what Derek has in store for us in the next book of the series to be released in June 2012
Disclaimer: I received a free copy of the book for my honest review and I was not compensated for my review.
