When the Soul Awakens is a groundbreaking book about the evolution of consciousness and the birth of a real new age. Written for contemporary seekers, it illumines the eternal quest for spiritual truth in the context of our time—a time of crisis and paradox. Even as threats to human civilization intensify, a new wave of universal spirituality is quietly breaking upon the shores of our planet.
Based on modern esoteric teachings known as the Ageless Wisdom, the book describes the spiritual awakening now occurring as a turning-point in human evolution. It presents the path ahead as a collective passage to a higher stage of consciousness, involving stages of spiritual growth that flower into soul awareness. From this higher awareness, a new civilization will arise.
The book reveals the nature of the soul through the insights of sages, poets, and philosophers across the ages. Through the wisdom teachings, it describes the origin and destiny of the human family and offers a glimpse of the extraordinary future that awaits us as the soul awakens and a new era dawns.
About the Authors-
Nancy Seifer and Martin Vieweg, coauthors of When the Soul Awakens, have been studying and practicing principles of the Ageless Wisdom for over thirty years. This book represents the harvest of their transformative journeys. Nancy Seifer has been an author since the late 1960s, when she became interested in ethnic diversity and the problems of working-class women in America. Her spiritual journey unfolded a decade later, leading to a personal exploration of the evolution of consciousness chronicled in her memoir, Russian Odyssey. Martin Vieweg has studied diverse metaphysical teachings and has written and lectured on topics ranging from reincarnation to meditation. He served in several spiritual organizations before becoming director of data management for a national non-profit organization. Their website, entitled "Ageless Wisdom for a New Era," is found at: www.whenthesoulawakens.org
My thoughts-
The book was very enlightening and I really enjoyed it. I have to admit that I am not a very spiritual person but the book has opened my eyes a little more. It allowed me to look a little deeper into my self and how I fit in the world. I was happy that she included a glossary because there were some terms mentioned in the book that I was not familiar with. The book was easy to read and I recommend it to everyone who wants to understand themselves and the world a little more. Great Job!
