In the book Freaksville by Kitty Keswick, Kassidea ( Kasey) Maxwell was born with the ability to see the future, and at the age of sixteen her special powers became active. She is always wears gloves because her visions start when she touches someone or thing. Her visions can cause her a lot of pain and she tries to avoid them when she can. In the beginning of the book, she gets a disturbing vision about a new foreign exchange student in the class, Josh. She decides to follow him and a romance starts. They start on an adventure that includes ghosts and other supernatural beings. Josh also has some secrets of his own that are revealed throughout the story. She has a best friend Gillie who helps her throughout the book. Their adventures take them to a theater and they become trapped on the night of a full moon and very strange things occur. Throughout the book, Kasey learns about her powers and with the help of her parents she is able to understand them fully. There are many other characters that makes the plot enjoyable, and they are all likeable.
Freaksville is written in blog format and I had some difficulty with that format at times. The blog entries were very long and there was a lot of dialogue. Some of the situations in the book made me laugh and I loved the comments that the blog’s readers left. The illustrations were very nice, but I felt that they gave away some of the storyline. I have always been fascinated with the supernatural and this book was fun to read. I look forward to reading the next book in the series Furry and Freaked.

I received Freaksville from Angela at Dark Faerie Tales. I am a participant in her ARC tour program and I was not compensated for my review.
