In part 1 of the book the author gives the definition of what is confidence and how it is a God Ordained gift. The book discusses how women were treated throughout the world and the role of women in the church. She uses Proverb 31(10-31) to describe a confident woman in the bible. The woman could do it all, and was perfect. The author did not like the perfect woman but she soon realized that she could learn from her.
Part 2 discusses how to remove fear that is keeping us from being confident. She described the “Anatomy of Fear”, and how we can overcome it. We are winners and winners never quit. We spend more time and energy putting something off because we dread that we have to do. If we would just do it right away, it would be easier. The book was a very inspirational and I learned a lot about myself. The use of scripture reinforced what the author was trying to tell us. This book should be read by everyone. If you are not a religious person, you should pick up a bible to use as a reference. The book was well written and easy to read.
- A confident woman knows that she is loved.
- A confident woman refuses to live in fear.
- A confident woman is positive.
- A confident woman recovers from setbacks.
- A confident woman avoids comparisons.
- A confident woman takes action.
- A confident woman does not live in "if only" and "what if."
